Miller-Motte Technical College

The mission of Miller-Motte Technical College is to help students acquire the essential career and personal skills and knowledge necessary to secure initial employment in their chosen field.

The following purposes are integral to the mission of the College:

Dental Assisting - Associate of Applied Science

Students in the dental assisting program will develop skills in a hands-on learning environment. The goal of the program is to prepare students to function effectively as integral members of dental health teams.

Graduates will be prepared to function as entry-level dental assistants and assume responsibilities such as:

  • Performing chair side assisting procedures
  • Maintaining and supplying clinical areas
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Maintaining patient charts and records
  • Producing dental radiographs of diagnostic quality
  • Positioning and preparing patients for treatment or surgery
