YTI Career Institute - Altoona Campus
2900 Fairway Drive
Altoona, PA 16601

YTI Career Institute

YTI is helping committed students attain rewarding careers through industry-modeled, student-centered, training and support of the highest caliber. YTI's mission establishes the primacy of our students. They have set very immediate goals for attaining a rewarding career. Practical, applied, hands-on learning needed to get and hold the job of their dreams, this is foremost in their minds. We deliver this by modeling our faculty, facilities, equipment and curriculum after the industry they will enter.

Altoona Campus

YTI's Altoona occupies approximately 18,000 square feet including 14 computer labs, 3 medical labs, 3 lecture classrooms, 2 massage therapy labs, 2 pharmacy labs, 3 private massage clinic rooms, administrative offices, lunch rooms, a vending area and a student resource center. Fourteen computer labs are equipped with personal computers which are networked under a Microsoft Windows platform. Three medical labs and two pharmacy labs support the medical programs with up-to-date equipment and materials, and the massage therapist labs are equipped with Oakworks massage tables and massage chairs. Private massage clinic rooms are available for students to practice on clients from the general public during their clinic courses. The criminal justice labs include photo documentation equipment, two-way radios, fingerprinting and video-surveillance equipment, and binoculars.

Medical Administrative Assistant - Diploma

The Medical Administrative Assistant Diploma program trains students to perform medical office procedures, analyze and record billing transactions and insurance claims, transcribe medical documents with proper medical terminology, and use appropriate office procedures in public relations. This program will provide the student with the education, training and skills necessary to assume entry-level employment as a medical secretary, transcriptionist, billing clerk or medical administrative assistant within a hospital, physician's office, clinic, insurance company, health department or other medical related company.
