The medical assisting program prepares graduates for a wide
degree of day-to-day challenges. Courses in this program include:
Clinical Medical Assisting, Medical Terminology, Hematology and
Serology, Urinalysis and Microbiology and Pharmacology.
In addition to the principal course of study, students in this
program will receive a background in computers, business
organization and administrative medical assisting. This program
gives the graduate the training that is necessary to enter many
diverse medical settings such as: doctor's offices, insurance
companies, hospitals, legal offices, laboratories and medical

The field of Medical Transcription is one of the fastest growing
in the health care area. This diploma course offers a short,
intensive study of both terminology and transcription technique
and is designed to provide the transcriptionist with the training
and education most requested by the medical profession. Medical
Transcriptionists typically work in hospitals, clinics, physician
offices, transcription services, insurance companies and home
health care agencies. With experience, they may become
independent contractors or subcontractors, particularly with
certification.
The classes in this program can prepare you to successfully
complete the Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT)
examination.

The pharmacy technician program is designed to prepare students
to support and assist licensed pharmacists with ordering,
stocking and packaging prescription and over-the-counter
medications. Other duties may include inventory control,

The phlebotomy diploma program provides hands-on training in
collection, transportation, handling, and processing of blood
specimens for analysis. The phlebotomy program also trains
students to adhere to infection control and safety policies and
procedures; interact with other laboratory and health care
personnel; and demonstrate an understanding of laboratory
requisitions and their legal implication within the work
environment.
Certified phlebotomy technicians can find employment in
hospitals, clinics, reference laboratories, doctor's offices,
some home health agencies, and portable insurance carriers.
